Planning and Organization

This wedding was held during the height of COVID-19, summer 2020. The couple had a 6-week engagement and the wedding was planned in a month. We scrambled to find rentals that were available for the day and coordinate which items belonged to each company to ensure they returned to the correct place. We created mason jar decorations with silk flowers and tea lights. There was careful planning and set up to hang white lanterns, mason jars, and sheers from trees.

Guest Management

Before the event, beautiful invitations were sent out to each guest. When the guests returned their RSVP, we then planned accordingly to assure the guests felt safe in the COVID-19 conditions with the seating chart, chair placements, and tables. If any of the guests had a role to play at the wedding, they were directed and instructed before and during the ceremony.

Logistics

There was a substantial amount of planning for the logistics of a backyard wedding. We needed to find some last minute speakers and music. We coordinated with the neighbors so the Jurassic Tacos food truck could use their driveway. There was a considerable amount of coordination between me, multiple vendors, and family members assigned tasks for the pick-up and delivery of decorations, flowers, and food.
